Operations and systems consulting

Operations consulting for businesses that have outgrown how they run

You should be leading the business, not chasing every job yourself. I put in the processes, roles and systems that let your team get on with the work, so you can step back without things falling over.

Signs you need this

  • You are the answer to every question, so you are the bottleneck
  • The same mistakes keep happening because nothing is written down
  • You cannot see at a glance which jobs are late, stuck or unprofitable
  • Staff turnover means starting from scratch every time
  • Growth feels like more chaos rather than more profit

What I do

01

Process mapping

I map how work actually moves through the business today, then redesign it so it flows.

02

Roles and responsibilities

Clear ownership of every task, so nothing relies on memory or goodwill.

03

Written procedures

Simple, usable procedures your team can follow and new starters can learn from.

04

Reporting and KPIs

A handful of numbers that tell you how the business is really doing, each week.

05

Systems set up

The right tools, usually Monday.com, configured around your process rather than the other way round.

06

Suppliers and regulators

I can manage the conversations with suppliers, landlords, auditors and regulators for you.

What you have at the end

  • A clear map of how the business runs

  • Written procedures for the core tasks

  • Defined roles and responsibilities

  • A working system with dashboards

  • A team trained to use it

  • Weekly numbers you can trust

How it works

  1. Weeks 1 to 2: discovery

Time with you and your team to understand what happens today and where it breaks.

  2. Week 3: plan

A short written plan with priorities, costs and what will change for each person.

  3. Weeks 4 to 8: build

Processes, systems and documents built and tested with the people who will use them.

  4. Ongoing: support

Monthly check ins and reporting while the new way of working beds in.

Questions

How long does it take?

Most projects take six to ten weeks from the first conversation to a working system, depending on the size of the team and how much needs to change.

Will my team actually use it?

They help design it, so it reflects how they really work. I also train them and stay involved while it beds in.

Do I need to buy new software?

Not always. Sometimes the fix is a clearer process in the tools you already pay for. When a new system is needed, it is usually Monday.com.

Can you work part time inside the business?

Yes. Some clients use me as a part time operations lead on a monthly arrangement.
