How I work
How I work, and how pricing works
A simple process, clear options and no surprises on the invoice.
Three principles
People first
I start by understanding the people in the business. Systems only work when they fit the team using them.
Own the problem
If I take something on, I see it through. I work with your staff, suppliers and regulators until it is resolved.
Built to last
Everything I set up is designed to keep working as you grow, and is documented so it does not depend on me.
The process
Understand
Conversations with you and your team, and a look at how work really flows today.
See an example
For example, I sit with the people who take enquiries, book jobs and send invoices, and map what really happens rather than what the manual says.
Plan
A short written plan: priorities, costs, timings and what changes for whom.
See an example
For example, a two page plan listing five priorities, what each will cost, how long it will take and who it changes things for.
Build
I do the work: systems, processes, pages, documents and training.
See an example
For example, new procedures written with the team, a Monday.com board set up and tested, and a short training session for each role.
Report and improve
A monthly report showing what was done, what changed and what is next.
See an example
For example, a monthly summary of what was done, the numbers that moved and the next three things to tackle.
Ways to work together
Hourly and project options are available, depending on the work involved. Tell me what you need and I will suggest the option that suits it best.
Hourly
Flexible support
For advice, reviews, smaller pieces of work and ongoing help each month.
- Billed monthly, with a summary of the work done
- Stop at any time
Project
A defined piece of work
For work with a clear end point, such as a Monday.com build, a set of policies or a website overhaul.
- Scope and price agreed before work starts
- No hidden extras
Billing in plain terms
- Hourly or project pricing, depending on the work
- Prices are agreed with you before any work starts
- Short calls and quick questions are not charged
- Every invoice comes with a summary of what was done
What I need from you
Access to the right people and systems, a named contact for day to day questions, and honest feedback. The more open we can be about what is not working, the faster it gets fixed.
Questions about working together
Is there a minimum contract?
No. Hourly work can stop at any time. Project work runs to the agreed scope.
Do you charge for the first call?
No. The introductory call is free, and so are quick questions once we are working together.
How do I find out what my project will cost?
Send me a message about what you need. After a short conversation I will suggest hourly or project pricing and confirm the cost before any work starts.
Will I know what I am being billed for?
Yes. Each invoice comes with a summary of the work done.
